The Humble Pineapple Club is a collection of service-driven hospitality professionals who not only love what they do, but may actually be a little obsessed with it. The world of hotels is a vast, ever-changing environment, and our writers' goal is simple: show off the beautiful, complex nature of the places they work, from the eyes of those who live and breathe it every day. 

James

Although he currently lives and works in Manhattan, James started his career in Florida Tourism. After burning out and craving for the mountains, he found his true calling just a few years ago when he took his very first job at a little 80-room property in Denver, Colorado. As a bowtie-wearing bellhop, he quickly realized that hospitality was not just tour group after tour group. And since then, his love and passion for hotels and hospitality has continued to propel him further in the industry. He loves every aspect of hotels, and loves sharing about his favorites. He currently works as a Front Office Manager at a busy, old midtown hotel. "Its big, and its tough, and honestly, I wouldn't change it for the world."
